Meeting Commusoft's system requirements ensures adequate performance and prevents potential issues, allowing for efficient use now and in the future.
For the best experience, we recommend using devices that exceed the minimum specifications listed below.

What happens if my device doesn't meet these specifications?
While Commusoft may run on devices that do not meet these specifications, doing so can lead to instability. Adhering to these requirements ensures a more stable and efficient user experience.
Additionally, if your device does not meet the minimum requirements, it may not be possible for us to provide support for reported issues.
If your device is flagged as incompatible, try these steps:
Update your operating system: Access your deviceâs settings and check if there are any pending OS updates.
Devices will stop recieving updates for the operating system after a period of tie determined by the manufaturer.
Verify your device specifications: Compare your device's hardware capabilities to the minimum requirements outlined above.
Consider upgrading your device: If your device lacks necessary specifications, using a newer device that meets or exceeds requirements can ensure optimal app performance.

How do I resolve screen resolution errors?
How do I resolve screen resolution errors?
If you see an error stating "You need to make your browser window wider in order to use Commusoft," it usually means your display settings need adjustment. Try the below steps to resolve this issue.
You may need to close your browser completely and restart your computer for these changes to take full effect.
Adjust browser zoom
Open your browser settings menu
Locate the Zoom controls
Reduce the zoom level (e.g. to 100% or 90%) until the error message disappears
Check display resolution
Your computer monitor must be set to at least 1280 x 768.
Go to your computer's System Settings or Control Panel
Navigate to Display settings
Ensure the resolution is set to the recommended minimum or higher
Modify display scale
Even with the correct resolution, a high "Scale" setting (e.g. 150%) can trigger this error.
Go to your computer's Display settings
Locate the Scale and layout section
Reduce the scaling percentage (e.g. return it to 100%) to remove the error
How do I check which OS version my device is running?
How do I check which OS version my device is running?
You can check your operating system version on the Diagnostics page in the Commusoft Core app. Tap your Profile icon, tap Diagnostics, then find OS under Device. The Vehicle Tracking and Stockroom apps don't have a Diagnostics page, so check your device settings instead. See our Checking your app version and keeping it up to date article for the full steps on both routes.
Why has my Vehicle Tracking or Stockroom app stopped updating?
Why has my Vehicle Tracking or Stockroom app stopped updating?
If your Vehicle Tracking or Stockroom app has stopped updating, your device may be running an Android version below the minimum requirement. From August 17th, 2026, both apps require Android 12 or above. Devices on Android 11 or below no longer receive new versions of these apps from the Google Play Store, so they miss out on the latest fixes and features.
You will not see an error or a warning. In the Google Play Store, the app simply shows an Open button instead of an Update button, and no updates are listed as available. On its own this doesn't confirm a problem, because the same thing happens when you're already on the latest version. Checking your operating system version is what tells the two apart.
To resolve this:
Check your operating system version using the steps in the question above.
Update your operating system: If an update to Android 12 or above is available, install it and your app updates will resume.
Upgrade your device: If your device cannot update to Android 12, you will need a device that meets the minimum requirements to continue receiving app updates.
What happens if I uninstall an app on an unsupported device?
What happens if I uninstall an app on an unsupported device?
If you uninstall an app on a device that no longer meets the minimum requirements, you will not be able to reinstall it. The Google Play Store shows a message stating your device is not supported, and there is no way to reverse this on that device.
Important: Always speak to our team before uninstalling any Commusoft app. Uninstalling can permanently lose any data that has not yet synced, and on an unsupported device you will not get the app back. Learn more about uninstalling safely in our Usage Tips for the Mobile Apps article.
