Commusoft Analytics is an enterprise-grade reporting tool that turns your day-to-day data into clear visual dashboards and detailed tabular reports. This helps you monitor real-time business performance, spot trends early, and make proactive decisions regarding jobs, finance, customers, and team performance.

Dashboards vs. Tabular reports

The Analytics suite is split into two distinct areas. A dashboard uses visual widgets (like charts and number counters) to surface the signal that something needs attention, and a tabular report provides the exact detail behind it.

Use a dashboard when you need to:

  • Monitor live, high-level business metrics at a glance.

  • Spot visual trends over time (e.g., job volume by month).

  • Track progress against targets (e.g., SLA compliance rates).

Use a tabular report when you need to:

  • Perform deep-dive investigations into specific records.

  • Audit row-by-row financial data (e.g., line-by-line profit margins by technician).

  • Export raw data to a spreadsheet.

Why do widget values differ from tabular report values?

Widgets and tabular reports apply their own filters at runtime. If your tabular report uses different filters or date ranges than your dashboard widget, the totals may not match. Ensure both use the exact same settings to compare results accurately.

Can I report on deleted or archived data?

You can report on deleted or archived records if you have the Analytics+ add-on. This allows you to keep historical data visible for accurate reporting without mixing it into your active daily workflows.

What happens to my advanced widgets and reports if my subscription changes?

If your account plan changes and no longer includes Analytics+, any widgets or tabular reports built using advanced fields or premium chart types will be temporarily suspended and hidden from view. Your underlying data remains perfectly safe; the advanced views simply remain inactive until the add-on is active again.
