Licencing types
You can purchase three different types of licenses to grant users access to Commusoft. The Licencing dashboard displays counters showing how many of each type you currently have.

Contracted licence
These licences are committed until the end of your current contract with Commusoft. They typically offer the best value but cannot be reduced until your contract renewal date.
Commitment: 12 months (or until the end of your current contract).
Cancellation: Cannot be deleted mid-contract.
Billing: Paid in advance for the month ahead.
Monthly rolling licence
These licences have no long-term commitment. They are ideal for temporary staff, propbationary periods or seasonal fluctuations.
Commitment: None.
Cancellation: Can be deleted or cancelled at any time.
Billing: Paid in advance for the month ahead.
Daily licence
These are short-term licences used for very brief access requirements.
Commitment: None.
Cancellation: Can be deleted or cancelled at any time.
Cost: Charged at a daily rate based on usage.
Billing: Based on usage for the previous month (arrears).
Restriction: A daily licence cannot be changed to a monthly or contracted licence due to billing differences.
Daily licence billing triggers
Daily licences are useful for occasional users, such as subcontractors. Charges are applied retrospectively for any day where at least one of the following occurs:
An appointment is booked for that user.
An appointment is actioned by the user in the mobile app.
The user logs in on a PC or mobile device.
Note
Because charges can be triggered simply by a manager booking a diary event, the user does not strictly need to log in for a charge to occur.
Users can browse the schedule on the mobile app without incurring a daily charge if they are already logged in.
Storage allowances
Storage capacity is calculated based on the number of Contracted and Monthly rolling licences you hold. These combine to create a shared pool of data for your company.
This capacity is strictly used for attachments, such as site photos, videos, and PDF documents.
We do not limit the number of customers, jobs, or invoices you can save.
The storage capacity per user depends on your Commusoft plan:
Plan | Region | Storage per licence |
Go Paperless | UK | 10GB |
Customer Journey | UK | 20GB |
Automation | UK | 30GB |
---------- | ---------- | ---------- |
All-in-One | US | 10GB |
Customer Journey | US | 20GB |
Field Automation | US | 30GB |
Daily licences do not contribute to this pooled storage allowance.
Common questions
I added licences by mistake, how do I cancel them?
I added licences by mistake, how do I cancel them?
If any type of license is mistakenly added and remains in a pending signature status, it can be left unsigned to prevent activation. Pending licenses will automatically expire after a certain period, ensuring they do not take effect unless signed.
