Find your next job and clock in and out, all from one screen.
The home screen is what you see when you open the Commusoft app. It tells you what is happening now, what is next, and gives you the clock in and out buttons for your working day.
Three tabs run along the bottom of every screen: Home, Diary and Search. If your phone is set to US English, you'll see Schedule instead of Diary.
What is on the home screen
Current event
Tells you whether you are currently travelling to or working on a job. When you are not, it says so and offers an Open diary link to get you to your next appointment.
My next event
Appears once you have accepted a job. It shows the job type and number, the customer, the address, and a Travel button.
Note: Tapping Travel on this card opens the job. You then tap Travel again on the job itself to change your status. If you are not clocked in yet, you may see Confirm clock in with a Clock in button.
Your timesheet
Shows a running counter of your time and buttons to:
Clock in: Start your working day
Break in: Start a break
Break end: End your break
Clock out: End your working day
Whichever action is not available is greyed out â so if you are already clocked in, Clock in is greyed and the break and Clock out buttons are active.
Note: You need a connection to clock in or out. You also cannot clock out while you are travelling to or arrived at an appointment â finish or leave that job first.
Getting to your profile, diagnostics and preferences

This is the only route to your profile. From there you can reach Edit profile, Diagnostics and Preferences.

Common questions
Why is the Clock in button greyed out?
The Clock in button is greyed out because you are already clocked in. The buttons swap depending on your state â when you are clocked in, the break and Clock out buttons become available instead.
Why can't I clock out?
You cannot clock out while you are travelling to or arrived at an appointment. The app shows Unable to clock out while traveling to or arrived at an appointment. Leave the job first, then clock out. You also need a connection to clock out.
Why do I see Schedule instead of Diary?
The tab name follows your phone's language setting. If your phone is set to US English, you'll see Schedule instead of Diary. It is the same tab.
Where are the settings?
The settings are behind your profile icon at the top of the home screen. There is no settings icon and no side menu â everything to do with your account, diagnostics and preferences sits behind your profile icon.
Why does my next job say "Unable to plot the address on a map"?
Commusoft could not place that address on a map, usually because the address is incomplete or not recognised. The job still works normally â ask your office to check the address if you need directions.
