How to configure the Storm-Ready Generator Service Pro agent

Learn how to set up the Storm-Ready generator agent, define its trigger logic, and manage notifications.

Note: The Storm-Ready Generator Service Pro agent is in closed beta and available to a limited number of clients, so it may not appear for you yet.

Add-on required: AI:den+

User role required: Office staff and above

Region: US only

The Storm-Ready Generator Service Pro agent removes the manual admin involved in chasing generator maintenance bookings. Before the agent can make calls on your behalf, it needs to be configured across four steps: basic details, conversation logic, trigger scheduling, and outcome notifications.

Note: Before you start, you'll need a service reminder named Generator maintenance set up in Commusoft. This agent is built specifically for generator maintenance. It uses that reminder to identify which customers to call, so it won't run without it. Learn more about setting up service reminders.

Complete the setup wizard

To start setting up your agent:

➡️ Click AI:den+ in the navbar

Find the Storm-Ready Generator Service Pro (US) card and click Try this agent. You will be taken to a configuration wizard with four steps.

Step 1: Basic details

This step defines the agent's identity, including the name it introduces itself with and the voice customers hear.

  1. In the Agent name field, enter the name your agent will use when speaking to customers (e.g., "James"). This is used in every call greeting, so choose a name that feels natural for your brand.

  2. Under Voice, select the voice your agent speaks with. Each option shows its accent and age (e.g., American, Middle Aged), and you can click the play button to preview it.

  3. Use the Disclose as AI agent checkbox to choose whether the agent tells customers it is an automated assistant at the start of each call.

  4. Click Continue.

Step 2: Conversation

This step tells the agent which customers to call and which generators it is calling about. The asset fields you map here also power the agent's pitch logic during the conversation.

  1. Use the Service reminder dropdown to select your Generator maintenance reminder. This ensures the agent only contacts customers whose generator service is currently due or overdue.

  2. Click into the Asset group / types field and select the relevant equipment.

  3. From the Select the fuel type asset field dropdown, choose the field where fuel type is stored. Then use the Select the 'Gas' fuel type dropdown to specify the corresponding fuel type, so the agent only calls about those specific generators.

  4. Under Select assets where asset field, choose a field to act as a redundancy filter, then select the corresponding Value (e.g., Status is equal to In use). This stops the agent calling about old or replaced units.

  5. Use the Select warranty end date asset field dropdown to specify where the warranty end date is stored. The agent uses this field to automatically switch between its two value pitches (warranty protection or reliability) during a call.

  6. Use the Select the make asset field dropdown to specify where the generator's manufacturer is stored. The agent uses this to talk knowledgeably about the customer's specific brand of unit.

  7. Click Continue.

Note: Only one service reminder can be set for agent use.

Step 3: Trigger

This step controls when the agent makes calls, which days and times are permitted, and how it handles missed calls. These triggers only apply to private customers with a single property.

  1. From the When to trigger the AI:den+ agent? menu, choose your trigger rule (e.g., Days after the initial reminder was sent).

  2. Enter the Number of days in the field below.

  3. Click into the Users to assign scheduled activity to field and select the user(s) who should be kept informed of the agent's outcomes. Scheduled activities created by the agent are assigned to these users.

  4. Check the Weekends box (Don't call on weekends/public holidays, take the next working date) if you do not want the agent to call on non-working days. If a trigger falls on a skipped day, the agent moves the call to the next working day.

  5. Enter the permitted Time of day to call (e.g., 09:00 AM).

  6. Under Which service windows would you like to offer for the automated call?, check the boxes for the time slots you want to offer customers, such as Early morning (12:00 AM–08:30 AM), Afternoon slot (08:30 AM–04:00 PM), and Evening slot (04:00 PM–12:00 AM).

  7. Under the Retries section, set the Minimum time delay between attempts (mins). This is the minimum gap before the agent tries an unanswered customer again. A value of 60 is recommended.

  8. Click Continue.

Note: Public holidays and service windows are both configured in your settings.

Step 4: Notifications

This step controls how your team is alerted when specific call outcomes occur. It is split into email alerts and in-app notifications, configured separately.

  1. Under the Email notification section, select Yes, please notify me if you want to receive email alerts.

  2. If enabled, click into the Receive notification when field and select the call outcomes that should trigger an alert (e.g., Service booked, Human callback requested, or Sensitive issue detected).

  3. Choose Who should get email notified? by selecting Users, Roles, or Everyone.

  4. Select an Email template from the dropdown menu, or click Add new template to create one.

  5. Under the Notification section (for in-app alerts), select Yes, please notify me if you want real-time alerts sent to the user dashboard. As with the email section, choose which outcomes trigger an alert under Receive notification when, then set Who should get notified? (Users, Roles, or Everyone).

Once your settings are configured, click Activate to complete the setup and enable the agent.

What's next?

Some outcomes automatically create a scheduled activity for staff follow-up regardless of your notification settings, such as human callback requests. These are assigned to the user(s) you set in the Trigger step.

Common questions

Can I change the agent's settings after it's activated?

Yes, you can change the agent's settings at any time after activation. On the AI:den+ dashboard, click Edit on the agent's card to reopen the configuration wizard and update any step.

Which customers will the agent call?

The agent calls private customers with a single property who are linked to the service reminder you selected in Step 2, and only when their generator service is due or overdue. Customers who have already booked are not called.

What happens if the trigger falls on a weekend or public holiday?

If the trigger falls on a weekend or public holiday and you've checked the Weekends box, the agent doesn't call that day. It moves the call to the next working day instead.
