Using scheduled activities in the field

Use the mobile app to schedule and manage activities on the go to keep your office team informed.

Scheduled activities on the Commusoft mobile app allow field staff to log tasks, calls, and meetings directly from their device. This ensures your office team stays up to date with exactly what needs to happen next on a job or customer property.

This feature is intended to help you easily alert the office about follow-up work. When you schedule an activity, the assigned office staff receive a notification on their web dashboard to ensure nothing is missed.


View scheduled activities

You can view a list of scheduled activities to check what needs to be actioned.

  1. Navigate to the relevant job record, then tap the menu icon in the top right corner.

  2. Tap Scheduled activities.

  3. If any activities are already scheduled for this job, they will be listed here.


Add a scheduled activity

If you discover a follow-up action while on-site, you can quickly schedule an activity to ensure the office handles it.

  1. Open the scheduled activities list and tap the + icon.

  2. Enter the activity details, such as the Description and any necessary Notes.

  3. Tap Type to select if the activity is a Call, Email, Meeting, or Task.

  4. Set the Due date and time.

  5. Tap Assign to to select the office team members who need to complete this task.

  6. Tap Add tags to categorize the task so the office can filter it easily.

    1. You can select existing tags, remove applied tags, or create a new tag directly from the list.

  7. Tap Save to create the activity and alert the web users.


Edit or delete an activity

If plans change, you can update the activity details or remove it entirely from your list.

  1. Open the scheduled activities list.

  2. To edit a task, tap the activity to open it, tap Edit, make your changes, and tap Save.

  3. To delete a task, swipe left on the activity in your list to reveal the delete option.

  4. Tap Delete to permanently remove the activity.

Note: You cannot mark a scheduled activity as complete from the mobile app. Activities must be marked as complete by office staff on the web app.
