Creating call note templates simplifies the process of documenting information during call communication for opportunities and helps speed up updates efficiently. By using predefined call note templates, all necessary details are captured using the own configured tags and automatically updated on the opportunity timeline. These templates are used when logging a call, and the call logs are saved along with the selected call note template and custom call fields.

➡️ Profile Icon > Settings > Communications > Call note templates > View
Adding a new call note template
➡️ Click ‘Add new call note’.
Follow the steps below to add a new call note template,
Choose the relevant folder to keep the templates saved.
Name a template.
For example, Book a survey visit.
Compose a message, which will then populate as a call note template during the call communication.

You can create the call note template using your own configured tags, which will be replaced with the respective values or information once updated.
a. Create a message as needed.
b. To use your own tags, type '{' and enter the required field name, then press Enter to add it.
c. Then, a page will appear to configure the tag you added.

Configuring tags for call note templates have two options: An input field or a dropdown.
Input field: The confirmed values will replace the tag during communication.
Dropdown:
a. Upon selecting the dropdown option, you need to add the options that should be populated for the tag.
b. Set the options as required. You can also add or delete options as needed. Please note that more than one option must be added for the dropdown.
c. The added values will appear in the dropdown next to a tag when using this call note template.
Hit Save upon adding the field type and other details.
To edit the configuration, click on a specific tag and update the changes. However the tag name cannot be removed. To change it, you must edit the tag name, which requires redoing its configuration.
d. Upon completing a message and configuring the required custom tags, click on ‘save’ to store the template.

Editing the call note templates
To edit a call note template, Click on Edit > Amend > Save
Deleting the call note templates
To delete a call note template, Click Delete > Confirm ‘Delete’.
