The Engineer job sheet SMS setting lets you create a text message template to manually send appointment details to your engineers.
Once an appointment is scheduled, you can send the SMS, which uses tags to automatically include key information like customer name, location, and time. This is a useful way to inform engineers who may not have reliable access to the mobile app.

Common questions
💭 Does receiving the job sheet SMS mean the engineer has accepted the job?
No. The job sheet SMS is a one-way notification only and is completely separate from the Commusoft mobile app. Engineers cannot reply to, accept, or manage appointments via this text message. All job management, including accepting new appointments so they appear in their diary, must be done using the Commusoft mobile app.
Example use cases
💡 Proactive appointment details
Send an SMS to an engineer with the customer's name, full address, and appointment time (e.g., "Job: Mrs. Smith, 123 Main St, 10:00 AM") to ensure they have the core details without needing to check the mobile app.
