Option templates allow you to present different choices or variations for a specific product or service that you sell to a customer. It enables you to create multiple options (such as Premium, Standard, Economy) within a template, each detailing the specific services, features, or pricing associated with that option. FAQs on Option templates
Is it possible for a customer to select multiple options within a single proposal?
Is it possible for a customer to select multiple options within a single proposal?
No, it's not possible for a customer to select multiple options within a single proposal. However, if they need to select the multiple options, you can use add-ons, which act as additional option templates within a proposal.
Here’s how to add add-ons to a proposal:
➡️ Go to the Opportunity page > Create/edit proposal > scroll to the bottom and click ‘Add new page’ > select ‘Add add-ons’.
When you click that, you'll be prompted to choose either a blank template or a predefined one. You can customise the selected template as needed. Once added, it becomes a global add-on in the proposal, functioning as an additional option template even if one already exists. All the added options and add-ons will then be listed in the proposal for the customer to select from.

You can add multiple add-ons to include them in a proposal. However, there are two types of add-ons that can be added when creating a proposal:
Pre-defined add-ons: These are set up in advance and can be added while building the proposal pages. These serve as global add-ons and can be included with option templates or cover page templates within a proposal on opportunity page.
Note: This option is available only when you create a proposal on the opportunity page.
Dependent add-ons: These are created directly using the in-built option available on the proposal page. They are specific to the option template they are added to and will only appear with that particular option.
Note: It is available through a predefined 'Option Template'.
When a customer views and accepts a proposal:
Pre-defined add-ons will be displayed with all option templates.
Dependent add-ons will appear only with the specific option template they were added to.
