Job Views
Updated over a month ago

Job views are typically used to categorise or list jobs based on specific conditions. The job views we create are displayed in the Job dashboard to simplify the process of viewing and managing job lists. They support centralised job management with customisable filters, timeline views, real-time updates, and detailed job cards.

Adding a job view

➡️ Add new job view

Creating a job view is a step-by-step process shown on the left side of your screen.

A progress bar tracks your completion. Click the steps on the left to navigate in order, starting from Step 1. Once a step is complete, click "Next" to save and move on or "Back" to review previous steps. You cannot skip ahead; progress through each step methodically.

Step 1: Basic details

Job view name: Name a job view and the job view name must be unique.

Job view icon: Choose a job view icon.

When choosing an icon, you have two options: you can either select one from the available stock or upload your own. If you choose to upload an icon, the following factors need to be considered.

  • Supported types: .ico, .png, and .svg files.

  • Maximum file size: 250KB.

  • Dimensions: 30x30 pixels

Step 2: Share with

Share a job view with specific users, roles, or everyone. The selected members will have access to the job view and can manage it as needed.

  • Users: Enter at least two characters of a user's name to select it from the dropdown list.

  • Roles: You can choose roles such as Engineer, Engineer with Diary, Engineer with Invoicing, Senior Engineer, Office Staff, Financial Office Staff, or Owner/Manager, based on your preference.

  • Everyone: Selecting this option grants all users access to the job view.

Step 3: Card design

Design the job card as how the job view needs to be displayed. There are 5 default properties configured for the job view and the properties are,

  • Pipeline stage name

  • Job number

  • Job description

  • Customer name

  • Job address line 1

Key highlights:

  • Drag & drop the properties to reorder.

  • Use the ‘Add property’ option to include new property in your card preview.

  • You can preview the card design based on your chosen options and properties.

  • You can delete or edit the default properties and also you can enable the ‘Show label’ option to show the property name along with the information.

The first field can’t be deleted.

Step 4: Filters

Filter jobs based on specific conditions, which can be configured in the Jobs dashboard. These conditions can relate to various properties and suggestions for each condition will be provided in a dropdown.

You can add multiple conditions to filter the jobs.

Key highlights:

  • You can view the total number of jobs matching the filter criteria in the ‘Preview job list’ section. However, the list will display only 10 jobs that we have created recently. It includes completed & closed jobs but not deleted jobs.

  • The filter must have at least one condition and ensure that all necessary sub-filters for each condition are filled.

After setting up the above, you can click Save and the job view will be successfully saved.

Edit job view:

➡️ Edit > Amend > Save

Delete job view:

➡️ Delete > Type "Delete" > Delete
