Can I recover a deleted job?


No, unfortunately, once a job has been deleted from within Commusoft, there is no way to recover it. You can create another job to replace it but the original cannot be brought back again. For this reason, we recommend cancelling jobs unless raised in error - this helps maintain an accurate history for the customer/property.

Can I login to two PCs at the same time?

No, you will not be able to use Commusoft on two machines at the same time. When the second computer logs in the first computer will automatically log you out. You will receive a notification informing you of this:

Useful tips

Add a Commusoft desktop shortcut

This guide outlines how to create a desktop shortcut for Commusoft using Google Chrome, the recommended browser. You can also bookmark the Commusoft tab for quick access.


Steps to Add a Desktop Shortcut

  1. Click the three dots/settings icon in the top right corner of your Chrome browser.

  2. Go to "Cast, Save and Share"

  3. Click Create shortcut

  • A popup will appear at the top of your screen.

    • Enter a name for your shortcut.

    • Click 'Create' to add the shortcut to your desktop.


Bookmarking Commusoft

If you prefer, you can also bookmark Commusoft for easy access from your browser:

  1. Open Commusoft in Chrome:

    • Navigate to the Commusoft page you want to bookmark.

  2. Use the Star Icon:

    • Next to the address bar, click the star icon.

    • Select in folder bookmarks bar

Disable a Pop-Up Blocker in Your Browser

To ensure smooth functioning of all Commusoft features, disabling pop-up blockers in your browser might be necessary. Follow the appropriate guide for your browser:

We highly recommend using Google Chrome for optimal performance with Commusoft. To download Chrome, simply search 'Chrome download' in your current browser.

How to take a screenshot

To assist with investigation at times we require some screenshots, these need to be the entire screen and not sections of it. To take a screenshot you can follow the below options:

  • Select the Start ​ button, enter snipping tool, then select Snipping Tool from the results.

  • Set Snipping Tool to: Window snip

    • This setting is found via the icon highlighted below in the orange square.

  • To take a screenshot, press and hold these three keys together: Shift, Command and 3.

  • If you see a thumbnail in the corner of your screen, click it to edit the screenshot. Or wait for the screenshot to be saved to your desktop.

Dates appearing in the wrong format

My dates are US and i want UK

If dates in Commusoft are appearing in the American format, this is due to your browser being set to American English. Follow the steps below to adjust the language settings to UK English in either Google Chrome.


Google Chrome

➡️ Open Chrome and click the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner.

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. In the search bar, type Language.

  3. Add or remove languages until your page is set to display English (United Kingdom) as the primary language.


My dates are UK and i want US

If your dates are appearing in UK format in Commusoft, this is likely due to your browser being set to English (United Kingdom). Follow the steps below to adjust the language settings to English (United States) in Google Chrome.


Google Chrome

➡️ Open Chrome and click the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner.

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Use the search bar to type Language.

  3. Add or remove languages as needed to ensure English (United States) is set as the first language in the list.

How do I delete a property?

If a customer or work address was created by mistake, it can be deleted. However, please note:

  • Only delete if created in error.

  • Deleting data is irreversible.

  • You cannot delete a property with invoice/payment records.

To delete:
Navigate to customer/work address dashboard > Quick links > Delete customer/work address > Type delete > Delete.
