Before starting the installation of the Sage Interface, follow these important setup steps to ensure a smooth integration between Commusoft and Sage 50cloud Accounts.

Manual Data Sending Recommendation:
We recommend setting your integration to manually send data until you fully understand how the process works. This will help avoid any unintended duplicate records in Sage 50cloud Accounts.
Transaction Log Posting:
Commusoft only posts data to the Transaction log within Sage 50cloud Accounts.
Supported Versions:
The integration supports Sage 50cloud Accounts Version 24.2 up to 30.1.342.
Nominal Codes Setup:
Ensure your nominal codes are set up before sending any data. Refer to this guide: Linking nominal codes.
Sage 50cloud Accounts User Access:
Commusoft requires access to a Sage 50cloud Accounts user account to transfer data.
Account Setup:
We recommend creating a new Sage 50 user account with the following credentials:
Username: cs
Password: cs123
If using an existing account, ensure you have the Sage 50 username and password handy.
Account Availability:
If the Sage user account is in use, Commusoft will queue the data until the account becomes available.
Choosing Your Accounting Package
Navigate to Integration Setup:
In Commusoft, click on the Profile icon and go to Integrations.
Select Accounting packages > Add integration > Setup integration.
Select Sage Package:
On the selection page, choose Sage Line 50/Instant.
Click Choose package at the bottom right corner to proceed.
Completing Setup and Preferences
Enter Sage Details:
You will be prompted to enter your Sage 50cloud Accounts details. Fill in all the required fields carefully.
Set Data Transfer Preference:
Choose when you want Commusoft to send data to Sage 50cloud Accounts:
Automatically (every two hours)
Manually (when you click the Send data button)
Recommendation:
We strongly recommend starting with the manual option until you fully understand how the integration works. This will prevent any accidental duplication of customer or financial records.
Note:
If you choose automatic syncing, you can still manually sync Commusoft and Sage 50cloud Accounts at any time by clicking the Send data button.
Confirm Your Selection:
After making your choice, click Next step.
Read the information provided, tick the box to confirm your selection, and click Next step again.
Installing the Sage Interface

Finalising the Integration
Confirmation Page:
After setting up the Sage Interface, you will see a confirmation page. Read the information carefully, then click Close.
Accessing the Integration Dashboard:
You will be redirected to the accounting integration dashboard, where you can manage your integration.
Sending Data:
On the dashboard, you may see some data in the "Waiting to be sent" box. This indicates that data is ready to be sent to Sage 50cloud Accounts. Click the Send data now button to initiate the transfer from Commusoft to Sage 50cloud Accounts.
