Enabling a default email and SMS template for invoices streamlines customer communication, ensures consistency in email and SMS correspondence, and saves administrative time. By setting custom templates for different invoice types, you can tailor messages for various invoicing scenarios, enhancing professionalism and improving customer satisfaction through clear, standardized communication.
View Setting
➡️ Navigate to Profile Icon > Settings > Invoicing > Invoice email and SMS templates > View.
Configure Templates
You can pre-define the email and SMS message in the designated space and store them to use while sharing invoices.
Invoice email templates
Fill in the message in the provided text box for subject and body of the email. Use tagging to personalize the message including customer, job and invoice details.
Invoice SMS templates
Switch to the SMS tab and fill in the message in the provided text box. Use tagging to personalize the message including customer, job and invoice details.
Upon adding them, click Save to store the templates.
Advanced Options
You can add alternative templates for the different types of invoices.

Click on New invoice template
Use the dropdown menu to designate a specific invoice type and personalise the message as needed.
Click Save.
Managing invoice email and SMS templates
You can directly customize the templates you've added. To manage templates for different invoice types, go to the Advanced Options section at the bottom.
Editing invoice email and SMS template
➡️ Advanced options > Locate the template > Click 'Edit' > Amend > Save.
Deleting invoice email and SMS template
➡️ Advanced options > Locate the template > Click 'Delete' > Type delete > Click delete
How to Use the Invoice Templates
To Email an Invoice
Go to View Invoice.
Scroll to the Invoice Breakdown section.
Click Email Invoice.
Choose the recipient’s email address.
Customize the email if needed or review the pre-filled message.
Click Send to share the invoice via email.
To Send an Invoice via SMS
Go to View Invoice.
Scroll to the Invoice Breakdown section.
Click Email Invoice (SMS option is available here as well).
Choose the recipient’s mobile number.
Customize the SMS message if needed or review the pre-filled text.
Click Send to share the invoice via SMS.
