Setting up a default email message for technicians reduces repetitive typing and ensures consistent communication. When a technician is scheduled for an estimate, this default message will be sent, including relevant job details through tagging.
Setting Up the Engineer Survey Email Template
➡️ Navigate to: Profile button > Settings > Schedule and despatch > Engineer survey email template
Set Up Email Content:
Subject: Enter the subject line for the email.
Body: Draft the email body. Use the ‘Use tagging’ box to insert tags, which will auto-populate job-specific details.
Save: Once you are satisfied with the setup, click Save.
Sending the Email to a Technician
Schedule Technician: Book the technician into an estimate as you normally would.
Notification Area: In the notifications area, check the box for ‘Notify technician about visit’.
Optional: Edit the email content if needed. Tags will auto-populate with the technician’s job information.
Technician Notification: The technician will receive the email with populated tags and a PDF attachment containing customer information.
