Customising the stock wastage reasons dropdown can significantly improve inventory management by allowing you to tailor the options to reflect your specific business needs. This customization not only helps in accurately tracking why stock is no longer usable but also provides valuable insights that can drive better decision-making and efficiency.


View Setting

➡️ Profile icon > Settings > Parts and Stock > Stock wastage reasons > View

Add Wastage Reason

➡️ Fill in Wastage reason > Click 'Add Wastage reason'

Examples of Custom Stock Wastage Reasons:

  • Damaged in Transit

  • Expired

  • Manufacturing Defect

  • Returned by Customer

  • Obsolete Stock

  • Spoiled

  • Theft

  • Sample or Testing Use

  • Lost in Warehouse

  • Quality Control Failure

Once a new stock wastage reason is added on the left, it will appear in the "Existing wastage reasons" list on the right.


Edit Wastage Reason

➡️ Click 'Edit' > Amend as required > Save


Delete Wastage Reason

➡️ Click 'Delete' > Type "Confirm" > Click 'Delete'

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
