As a business, you may have a specific numbering system for your customer accounts that you wish to implement in Commusoft. Customer account numbers are automatically generated when a customer or work address is created, providing an efficient way to distinguish and track them within the system.


Configuration Steps

To set the first customer account number:

➡️ Navigate to Profile > Settings > Customers > Customer Account Number > View.

  1. Select one of the following options:

    • Start from 1: Begin numbering customers from 1.

    • Start from 1000: Start numbering from 1000.

    • Custom: Enter a custom starting number.

  2. Once you have selected your preferred numbering option, click Save to apply the changes.


Notes

  • Existing Account Numbers Unchanged: Changes to the numbering settings will not affect any existing customer account numbers.

  • 1 or 1000 Limitations: If your current customer numbers already exceed 1 or 1000, these options cannot be selected.

  • Custom Number Restrictions: You cannot add prefixes or suffixes to custom numbers. Custom account numbers must be higher than the last customer account number created.
