Keeping your schedule organised across different tools can be a challenge—especially when you're switching between apps throughout the day. With Commusoft's Google Calendar integration, you can sync your events in both directions: jobs and bookings you create in Commusoft will appear on your Google calendar, and appointments you add to your Google calendar will show up in Commusoft's diary.
This integration is designed to help you stay on top of your workday, avoid double bookings, and manage your time more efficiently—without needing to check multiple calendars.
How to Integrate Google Calendar
Imagine you're scheduling a job while on a client call—being able to see your Google calendar alongside your Commusoft diary means no double-bookings and faster decisions. With this integration, your availability stays in sync wherever you're working.
Step 1: Enable Google Calendar in Settings
🔍 This step sets up the connection between Commusoft and your Google account. Without enabling it here, nothing will sync—so it’s the foundation of your integration.
Profile icon > Integrations
Select Productivity
Choose Google Calendar
Select Add integration.
Use the radio button to enable the integration and click Continue.
You can only use one calendar integration at a time either Google Calendar or Outlook.
Step 2: Connect Your Google Calendar
🔍 This step authenticates your account so Commusoft knows which calendar to use for syncing events.
Refresh the page
Go to you profile icon
Click the Google Calendar icon.
Select the Google account you want to integrate.
Grant permissions to allow Commusoft access.
Each Commusoft user can only link one Google Calendar account. Multiple calendar syncs per user are not supported.
Step 3: Create and Sync Events
🔍 Now that you're connected, you can start creating jobs or events and see them appear in your Google calendar instantly.
Once synced, you can create a job or estimate in Commusoft.
A corresponding event is created in your Google calendar.
The event summary will match your Commusoft booking, including date, time, property address, and notes.
This integration does not support recurring events. Only the first instance of a recurring event will sync.
Step 4: View Synced Events
🔍 Once events are syncing, it’s useful to understand how they appear across both calendars and what you can or can’t edit.
Google Calendar entries created by Commusoft will appear as Normal events in the diary.
These are visible in your Commusoft calendar too.
Events created directly in Google Calendar will appear in Commusoft as simple events only. You won’t be able to turn them into jobs or estimates.
Step 5: Remove the Integration
🔍 If you no longer need calendar syncing or want to switch accounts, here’s how to disconnect safely.
To disconnect, go to your profile icon > Calendar icon
Click Disconnect to remove the sync.
Click your profile icon > Integrations
Locate Google calendar under Productivity
Click Disconnect
What Happens Next
Jobs and estimates you book in Commusoft will show up in your Google Calendar
