Adding Dynamic Tags to an Estimate Template
Set Up Dynamic Tags
Navigate to Set up templates from the Estimates section in settings.
You’ll see your estimate templates listed. To add a new one, select Add new template on the left, or to modify an existing one, click Configure estimate template on the right.
Creating the Template
The template page has two main text boxes: one for the Introduction and another for the Body of the estimate.
Inside the Body text box, create dynamic tags by placing any text inside brackets, such as
{number of radiators}
.These tags act as placeholders that will be filled with specific values when you create an estimate.
Using Dynamic Tags in an Estimate
Apply the Template
Go to the customer you’re creating an estimate for and add a new estimate.
When you reach the Estimate body section, your dynamic tags will appear as fields ready for input.
Filling in Dynamic Tag Values
A screen will display the list of dynamic tags from your template.
Enter the relevant information for each tag according to the specific estimate.
Click Save to update the estimate body with the filled-in values.
Benefits of Dynamic Tagging:
Consistency: Ensures all estimates follow the same structure while allowing for specific details.
Efficiency: Reduces time spent customizing each estimate, as tags prompt the necessary details to be added quickly.
Flexibility: Adapt templates to any project by changing tag values as needed without modifying the original template.
